IRCGM Appointments
Montréal, November 8, 2017— Mrs. Pierrette Gagné, Executive Director of the Information and Referral Centre of Greater Montréal (IRCGM) is proud to announce that Mr. Étienne Lajoie-Gagnon will henceforth be the Outreach and Information Platforms Manager. Among his other duties, in support of management, he will act as a liaison between IRCGM and the public and socio-community organizations as part of implementing 211 in the Greater area of Montréal. Furthermore, Mrs. Brigitte Gagnon-Boudreau will hold the position of coordinator of Info-Referral and Resources. She will supervise the work of both teams, while ensuring to further strengthen the coherence between the approaches and working methods of these two entities in order to serve the citizens in the most optimal way.

These two orientations have already existed for the last 60 years at the IRCGM, but it will become even more important to use them in our daily work over the next year, in keeping with our mission of Helping Through Information. “said Mrs. Gagné.
The Information and Referral Centre of Greater Montréal celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2016. It offers bilingual information and socio-community referrals by telephone, on-line and also with printed directories to the citizens and social counsellors of Greater Montréal. In addition, it manages the 211 service, the Referral Helpline for Seniors, the Drugs: Help and Referral and Gambling: Help and Referral Helplines, as well as, the TeleCounselling program for compulsive gamblers.
